Aubrey Plaza (born June 26, 1984) is a performer, comedian and known for expressing her humor in a deadpan style. April Ludgate is her role in Parks and Recreation. After performing improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza launched her own web series through the Jeannie Tate Show. She continued her career with guest appearances on Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim and in vs. World. It is fitting to celebrate her birth this day. Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington in Delaware) is the child of Bernadette Plaza, who is an lawyer by trade and David Plaza a financial consultant. She has Puerto Rican parents and an English-Irish mother. Plaza was a student at a Catholic girls' school from 2002 to 2006 and then went to in 2006, she enrolled at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University. While a student at Wilmington Drama League, Plaza served as the President of their Student Government. In 2004, while during her sophomore year of college, Plaza was struck by a stroke, which left her with expressive aphasia, as well as a prolonged period of paralysis. Now, she is completely healed. Plaza has been performing improv comedy and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. She also appeared as Robin Gibney on The Jeannie Tate Show. The actress played Princess, an satirical sci-fi character from CollegeHumor Troopers. Plaza first played saxophones in Cassorla's Bona Fide (2014). In 2012 she also made her saxophone debut in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings. In the year 2016 Plaza was featured on HarmonQuest as Hawaiian Coffee a gnome. She was Aaron Burr, in Drunk History. and Cat Adams on Season 11, of C.B.S. Criminal Minds, a TV serial. In the 12th season, she returned to the show with a resounding success in the role. It was announced a year after that Plaza will appear in an independent comedy called An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn.
